ITVF and Shandong Normal University unite to boost TEQVOLY™ development and competition

TEQVOLY™

Mr. Istvan Dobrei, Secretary General of the International Table Volleyball Federation (ITVF), visited Shandong Normal University where he met with University President Mr. Wang Hai’ou to discuss a new partnership aimed at advancing TEQVOLY™ in the academic and athletic community. The visit included an inspection of the university’s volleyball team and concluded with the confirmation of a cooperation agreement focused on player development and competitive participation.

This collaboration marks another key milestone in the ITVF’s ongoing efforts to expand TEQVOLY™ in China’s higher education institutions. Under the new agreement, Shandong Normal University will support the growth of TEQVOLY™ by developing skilled players, establishing university teams, and taking part in national and international TEQVOLY™ competitions.

“Shandong University has a strong sports tradition and an impressive volleyball program,” said Mr. Dobrei. “We’re excited to see that energy and talent applied to TEQVOLY™, and we look forward to welcoming their teams to the global table volleyball community.”

The initiative will focus on training student-athletes in the unique techniques and dynamics of TEQVOLY™, a fast-paced, inclusive sport played on curved tables. The university will also serve as a regional hub for the sport’s promotion, hosting future events and encouraging broader student engagement.

The agreement further strengthens ITVF’s footprint in China, adding to recent collaborations with Capital University of Physical Education and Sport, Shandong Sport University, and the National Youth Sports Federation. With growing institutional backing, TEQVOLY™ is quickly evolving into one of China’s most promising new sports.
